iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review
Unlike some robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid of taking on the stairs. But, just like any other mop or vacuum it could get blocked by debris, such as stray tennis shoes ribbons, beads, play jewelry, yarn, or other stray objects.
You can make use of the iRobot Home app to label rooms and set up no-go zones. You can also monitor the progress of your mops and their battery levels.
iRobot Combo j7+
The Combo j7+ joins the iRobot mop and robotic vacuum line-up and combines the robotic cleaner's smart mapping capabilities and the ability to deal with spills. iRobot Combo i5
This multi-tasker is designed to vacuum and mop with one machine. The vacuuming process is performed by a special bin that can hold up to 60 days worth of debris that iRobot claims can reduce the amount of dust re-released into the air during the process. The i5+ also comes with dual multi-surface rubber brush heads and Power-Lifting Suction that can tackle dirt, dust pet hair and stains on hard floors. When it's time to mop, simply swap in the Mopping Bin and a compatible cleaning solution.
The i5+ runs iRobot OS and is smarter as you use it. It creates a Smart Map, which remembers the names of rooms as well as your cleaning preferences. The iRobot App allows you to create a schedule, or tell the robot to clean a certain room.
iRobot is able to recognize household clutter such as bags, shoes cords, toys and other items. iRobot Combo i3
The iRobot Combo i3 has been updated from the original Roomba i3. It still comes with a HEPA-filter to trap allergens and the same excellent external dust compartment, however it now supports smart mapping. This means you can create zones that are not allowed to be used to stop it from cleaning those areas in the future. The i3 Plus has a lot of other amazing features, like its advanced cleaning system and 10x power-lifting vacuum. It also has the ability to clean in three stages. It also has a textured surface to protect against fingerprints, dust and hairs of pets.
It does well on plain floors and cleans the majority of debris however, it was a bit difficult with pet hair on low pile carpets. It is quieter and does a fantastic job on carpets with high pile. The i3 costs a bit more than the Roborock S4 Max, but it comes with a self-emptying mechanism that cleans the mop pads, and then refills the water reservoir.
